Six WWE Stars Who Could Return for Money in the Bank

With several WWE stars currently sidelined due to injuries, the upcoming Money in the Bank ladder matches could see the return of some big names and former champions. Last year’s contests had seven participants each, and with Clash at the Castle ending, the build to Money in the Bank will take center stage. Here are six WWE stars who could return and compete in the Money in the Bank ladder matches.

Raquel Rodriguez has been in and out of action for the last year and a half due to the immune disorder MCAS. However, if she’s currently in a remission period, she could very well return and compete in Money in the Bank. Rodriguez has a built-in angle with Liv Morgan, her former tag team partner, and current Women’s World Champion.

Bobby Lashley has been off SmackDown since the 2024 WWE Draft. The former WWE Champion hasn’t captured the Money in the Bank contract before, and his return could shake up either title picture.

Alexa Bliss has been inactive for a year and a half due to pregnancy, welcoming her first child in late November 2023. Depending on her desire to return, Bliss could make a triumphant comeback to WWE any time.

Rhea Ripley’s shoulder was injured on a subsequent episode of WWE RAW after a successful title defense against Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 40. The injury has kept her out of action since early April, but she could pursue the title she never lost that’s now held by her enemy.

Charlotte Flair could return sooner than usual from her knee injury. If she busts her tail to reemerge before the original timetable of nine months to a year, she could pop up on the road to Money in the Bank.

CM Punk has already won two briefcases and should not need to win a third to earn a title match. However, he could return soon and potentially enter this year’s ladder match. Punk has already popped up on RAW while injured, and it could be a matter of time before he is cleared.

The return of these six WWE stars would add excitement and unpredictability to the Money in the Bank ladder matches. Fans will have to wait and see if these stars make their comeback and fight for an opportunity for a guaranteed title shot.
