Forbes has released its annual list of the 100 richest self-made women in America, showcasing a record-high net worth of $124 billion, a 12% increase from last year. The list features a stellar lineup of celebrities, entrepreneurs, and businesswomen who have made it big through their hustle and determination. Oprah Winfrey, 69, takes the 13th spot with a whopping $2.5 billion fortune, largely derived from her hit TV shows. Rihanna, 35, follows closely behind, ranked 20th with an estimated $1.4 billion, thanks to her successful music and cosmetics brand, Fenty Beauty.

Kim Kardashian, 42, is another notable celebrity on the list, ranked 21st with an estimated $1.2 billion from her shapewear brand Skims and skincare brand Skkn By Kim. Her half-sister, Kylie Jenner, also makes an appearance, with a fortune of $680 million from her beloved makeup company Kylie Cosmetics. Other familiar faces on the list include Beyonce, expecting to earn over $2 billion from her upcoming world tour, and Barbra Streisand, with an estimated $430 million fortune.

The list also introduces eight newcomers, including Greys Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes, who has amassed a $250 million fortune as the founder of Shondaland. According to Forbes’ assistant managing editor, Kerry Dolan, the list is a testament to the hard work and success of these women, noting that “we continue to see women breaking records and increasing their influence and power along with their fortunes, and each year new women in a variety of industries break into these ranks.” The record-high net worth of $124 billion is a clear indication that women are making their mark in the business world, and their influence is only growing.

The list showcases the likes of Rihanna, a pop superstar turned cosmetics mogul, and Kim Kardashian, a reality TV star turned shapewear entrepreneur. Other notable celebrities include Beyonce, who is expected to earn a massive sum from her upcoming world tour, and Barbra Streisand, a legendary actress and singer with a staggering fortune. The list also features entrepreneurs and businesswomen who have made it on their own merit, without inheriting their wealth. Forbes’ list is a powerful reminder that women can achieve great success through their hard work and determination, and their influence is only set to continue growing.
