The ICC Men’s 2024 T20 World Cup has reached its penultimate stage, with the Super 8 round now a thing of the past. The competition has dwindled down to four teams that have secured their spots in the knockout phase, with India, Afghanistan, South Africa, and England making it through to the next round. These teams have emerged from two groups of four sides each, with India, Afghanistan, Australia, and Bangladesh comprising Group 1, and South Africa, England, West Indies, and United States forming Group 2.

India has dominated Group 1, winning all three of its matches with impressive margins. They began by defeating Afghanistan by 47 runs, then claimed a 50-run victory over Bangladesh, and finished with a 24-run triumph over Australia. Afghanistan secured the second spot in Group 1 after winning two of its matches, including defeats of Australia and Bangladesh. In contrast, the other teams in Group 1 failed to make it out of the group stage.

Meanwhile, South Africa and England have emerged as the top two teams in Group 2. South Africa claimed the top spot with three wins, while England secured the second spot with four points after a crucial win over West Indies. The semifinal matchups have been set, with South Africa taking on Afghanistan at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad, on June 27, and India facing England at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.
