During a live event in Belfast, WWE made a significant mistake by playing Sami Zayn’s old entrance theme instead of his current one. Despite the blunder, Zayn managed to have a successful night by defending his Intercontinental title in a Fatal Four-Way match against Gunther, Chad Gable, and Finn Balor. The star humorously pointed out the error and requested WWE to ensure the correct theme is played next time.

Sami Zayn’s eventful night continued as he not only defended his title but also emerged victorious in the match. This win adds to Zayn’s impressive year in 2024, where he secured a chance to challenge Gunther for the Intercontinental title at WrestleMania XL.

The highly anticipated showdown at ‘The Show of Shows’ resulted in Zayn pulling off a stunning victory against Gunther, ending the latter’s two-year reign as the Intercontinental Champion.

Gunther’s reign as the Intercontinental Champion had been remarkable, defeating numerous top talents in the promotion during his tenure. However, Zayn’s triumph marked the end of Gunther’s dominant streak at WrestleMania XL, making the victory all the more special. Despite the botched entrance theme incident, Zayn’s achievements and success in the ring continue to solidify his status as a top superstar in WWE.
