A New Era in Railway Construction Unfolds as Arun Kumar Chaudhary Takes the Helm

Arun Kumar Chaudhary, a seasoned officer from the Indian Railway Service of Engineers, has assumed the role of General Manager of N.F. Railway (Construction), bringing with him a wealth of experience in managing various zones and public sector undertakings of Indian Railways across the country. His extensive background in construction and engineering has prepared him well for the responsibility of overseeing all railway construction activities within the jurisdiction of N.F. Railway, which includes the north-eastern states, including Sikkim, and parts of West Bengal and Bihar.

Chaudhary’s most recent stint was as Principal Chief Engineer of Eastern Railway, a position he held since June 2023. His new role as General Manager/Construction will see him assume overall charge of all railway construction activities within the N.F. Railway’s jurisdiction. This is a significant responsibility, as the N.F. Railway plays a critical role in connecting the entire north-eastern region of the country, which is often characterized by geographical challenges and diverse terrain.

As an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Engineers, Chaudhary has had the opportunity to work in different zones of Indian Railways, gaining valuable experience and insights into the complexities of railway operations and construction.
