Mustafa Ali, a former WWE superstar, took to social media to send a message of excitement for his former partner Dijak’s next chapter, who is set to leave the global juggernaut after his contract expires tomorrow. Dijak, a 37-year-old wrestler, has been part of the WWE for over seven years, first making his presence felt on NXT before moving to the main roster in 2020 as part of the Retribution stable, led by Ali. Despite the faction’s failure to make an impact, Ali remains optimistic about Dijak’s future and the Retribution members’ potential to reunite without their masks.

Dijak joined the WWE development brand in 2020 and was later promoted to the main roster, assigned to the RAW brand in the WWE Draft. However, he did not appear on the red brand and recently revealed that he would be leaving the company as his contract will not be renewed. Mustafa Ali, who also left the WWE last year, showed enthusiasm for Dijak’s next move, suggesting that the four male members of Retribution, including himself, Mace, and Shane Thorne, should reunite without their masks.

Retribution made its presence known in the WWE during the Thunderdome Era, initially consisting of Dijak, Mace, Thorne, Mercedes Martinez, and Michin. Ali was soon revealed as their leader, but the group struggled with poor booking and inconsistent storylines, leading to negative reactions from fans and critics. With Dijak set to leave the WWE, Michin is the only remaining member of the group still employed by the company. Ali and Mace have fared well since leaving the WWE, wrestling for different promotions around the world and gaining popularity.

Fans are excited about Dijak’s potential future moves, believing he could emulate Ali’s success after leaving the WWE. Dijak’s decision to leave the COMPANY also raises questions about the state of the WWE’s mid-card division, as many fans feel he was underutilized during his time with the organization.
