In a surprising turn of events, Drew McIntyre quit WWE’s Monday Night RAW during the latest episode of the show. After losing the World Heavyweight Championship match due to interference from CM Punk, McIntyre made the announcement in kayfabe, despite having recently re-signed with the company.

McIntyre took to Twitter to announce his departure, but soon deactivated his account. The former WWE Champion was one of the most active superstars on the platform, especially during his feud with CM Punk.

At Clash at the Castle: Scotland, CM Punk cost McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship match against Damian Priest. Punk’s actions allowed Priest to retain his championship, and this was not the first time Punk had interfered in McIntyre’s matches. At WrestleMania XL, Punk ignited a brawl, enabling Priest to cash in his Money in the Bank contract and win the title.

Punk is set to appear on the upcoming episode of Friday Night SmackDown, which will air live from his hometown of Chicago. Drew McIntyre could also make an appearance on the blue brand and continue his feud with Punk.

Fans are eager to see how this storyline develops, and if McIntyre’s departure from RAW is temporary or permanent. With these shocking turns of events, it’s clear that the rivalry between McIntyre and Punk is far from over.
