However, Rhodes suspects that The Brahma Bull returned the watch on RAW following WrestleMania, which might lead to a potential match between the two in the future.
The Stamford-based company initially planned to have Roman Reigns face The Rock at WrestleMania XL. However, WWE fans wanted to see Rhodes challenge The Tribal Chief for his title instead, leading to Rhodes’ historic win.

Brian Gewirtz, a former WWE writer, recently claimed that many people would have disliked the original plan for Cody Rhodes at The Show of Shows. Gewirtz is writing a second book about the whole situation and stated that the original plan is something that “you, Dave, and many, many more people would have hated more than anything in life itself.”
Currently, Cody Rhodes is involved in a heated rivalry with AJ Styles, while The Rock is working on a Hollywood project. It remains to be seen if the two will cross paths when The Rock makes his WWE return.
