In an interview with ESPN, The Rock disclosed that he experienced pre-match anxiety and nerves, which he managed to overcome by focusing on his wrestling persona.
Before his introduction, The Rock felt nervous and anxious, stating that he wanted to prove something to himself and go the distance. However, he found peace when Samantha Irvin introduced him, reminding him of who he was. He said, “All the nerves left my body, and all I could do was just close my eyes and breathe in the mana right in the corner, and that’s what I did, and it all went away.”
The Rock admitted that he had forgotten to go to the center of the ring for his introduction due to nerves and being in the zone. Nevertheless, he believed that he and his colleagues executed everything “phenomenally well.”

The Great One was initially apprehensive about the match’s outcome, but he gained confidence when Roman Reigns made the first tag. The Rock knew that they could sustain a longer match, stating, “I remembered saying to myself out there with him, ‘We can go an hour tonight. I’m ready to go.'”
The main event of WrestleMania XL lasted for 44 minutes and 35 seconds. After taking a Spear from Reigns, Rhodes was pinned following a Rock Bottom and a People’s Elbow. The Rock’s return to the WWE storylines is highly anticipated in the near future.
