Cody Rhodes, the top babyface in WWE, is set to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against AJ Styles at Clash at the Castle. In a recent appearance on the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast, Rhodes revealed that a significant change to his presentation is planned for the event. Known for having one of the best entrances in the company, Rhodes will now have a new feature added to his attire – a hood attached to his robe.
Rhodes discussed this addition with friends and fellow wrestlers Matt Cardona, Brian Myers, and Mark Sterling, confirming that professional wrestling costume designer Sandra Gray, who has retired from her work, is still preparing costumes for him. Although it is unclear whether the hood has been specifically added for his match against AJ Styles, it is expected to enhance Rhodes’ memorable entrance.
Rhodes has traveled to Scotland for the upcoming WWE PLE with his mother, who will likely be in the front row to watch her son compete for the championship. Meanwhile, AJ Styles has expressed his intent to make Rhodes say ‘I Quit’ in front of his mother during their match.
In an interview with Title Sports Network, Styles shared his plans and stated, “Cody Rhodes is going to say ‘I Quit’ while his mother is sitting in the front row, which is sad to say because I don’t hate Cody Rhodes, I don’t hate him. If you’re wondering why I did what I did is because I needed a chance at the championship.” Styles further explained that his actions are driven by his desire to win the title, as many fans expect him to come out on top in what could be his last chance to win the big one in WWE.
