Matthew Adams is an Australian pro wrestler who is currently under contract to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as a representative of the stable House of Black under the new moniker Buddy Matthews. He is known best for his time with WWE, where he wrestled as Buddy Murphy and Murphy. Matthews made his All Elite Wrestling breakthrough on the February 23, 2022 episode of Dynamite, teaming up with Malakai Black and Brody King of The House of Black.
Aside from that, Buddy Matthews appeared on the reality show Total Divas. He also appears in the video games WWE 2K16, WWE 2K17, WWE 2K20, and WWE 2K22. Buddy Matthews was given training by Carlo Cannon in the early days of his professional career.
Following his relaunch, AEW president Tony Khan announced officially Matthews’ decision to sign with the company.
Adams was engaged to a colleague and pro wrestler Alexis Kaufman, best known as Alexa Bliss in the ring. According to reports, the two called it quits in September 2018.

WWE heel Rhea Ripley of The Judgment Day has confirmed her relationship with AEW star Buddy Matthews, who is also a member of the heel faction House of Black. Who is Rhea Ripley?
Ripley has won the NXT UK Women’s Championship, the NXT Women’s Championship, the WWE RAW Women’s Championship, and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship. Whereas Matthews is an erstwhile NXT Tag Team champion, WWE Cruiserweight champion and a WWE RAW Tag Team champion. Previously, he was dating WWE RAW megastar Alexa Bliss, while Rhea was dating indie wrestler Demetri Jackson.
Ripley lately posted a picture on her official Instagram and Twitter accounts in which she appears to be standing right next to Matthews while dressed in amusing outfits. She was suited up as a ketchup bottle, and Matthews was a hot dog.

This has fueled speculations among fans that they have a romantic relationship. This isn’t the first time the two have been sighted working out together in the gym, with Rhea on Buddy’s back. She has now been trying to hint about her relationship with Matthews via photographs on a regular basis. When asked by a fan last month, “What does Buddy have that I don’t?” she replied, “Me,” which is more of a sure sign.
Rhea Ripley has been displaying more of her bad side after attempting to attack her mate Liv Morgan in the most latest episode of Raw. Sasha Banks and Naomi were wrestling for the Women’s Tag Team Championships when Banks struck Morgan with a Backstabber and knocked her out. This implied she couldn’t prevent Ripley from getting the pinfall, and they missed out on the tag team title.
Ripley was frustrated when Naomi and Sasha left the ring to enjoy. Morgan attempted to argue her case whilst also crying when she was questioned why she was not there to help. However, Ripley’s rage became so intense that she struck Liv Morgan, effectively ending their collaboration.
