Netflix will add another anime to its catalog with the premiere of Eden, an original series from the streaming services in a futuristic world in which humans are on the brink of extinction.
Although Eden would originally premiere on Netflix in the fall season of last year, the series was delayed due to force majeure. Now it will hit the streaming service on May 27 around the world.
The series is directed by Yasuhiro Irie ( Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood ) with scripts by Kimiko Ueno ( The Royal Tutor ). The project was developed by animation studios Wubic Pictures and CGCG. Here you can check out this new trailer for Eden :
Additionally, the production team includes Toshihiro Kawamoto ( Cowboy Bebop ) and Christophe Ferreira ( BUTA ) as character designers and concept designers.
The anime’s cast will include the performances of Marika Kouno as Sara, Kentarou Ito as E92, Kyoko Hikami as A37, and Kouichi Yamadera as Zero. It will have a total of four episodes.
