In a recent interview, WWE star CM Punk discussed the transformative changes in WWE culture since his return to the company. Punk had made his comeback at Survivor Series 2023 after a ten-year absence.

During the World Heavyweight Championship match between Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest at Clash at the Castle: Scotland, the referee was incapacitated, and Punk, disguised as a new official, took over the count. He eventually kicked McIntyre below the belt, allowing Priest to win.

Following Clash at the Castle, Punk elaborated on the significant changes within WWE culture. He mentioned receiving a message from someone who was thrilled to see him back in the company, as they wanted him to experience the evolved atmosphere and culture that he had helped create during his previous tenure. Punk humbly acknowledged his influence on the current environment, highlighting the improvements that he had fought for and that were now implemented.

In a separate interview after Clash of the Castle, Punk showed no remorse for his actions, which cost McIntyre the world title. He reaffirmed his status as the best in the ring, on the mic, in commentary, and even as a referee. Punk then took off his shirt and left for the press conference.

The aftermath of Punk’s actions will likely play out on WWE RAW this week, with McIntyre potentially addressing the situation. It remains to be seen how the company and its talent will respond to Punk’s recent interference.
