Edith Surreal, a well-known pro wrestling star in the independent scene, recently disclosed that she is putting her in-ring career on an indefinite hiatus. Known for her time in Chikara and wrestling since early 2018, Surreal shared on Instagram that she would not be defending her Enjoy Championship due to a head injury sustained in a match about ten days prior. This injury marks her third major head injury, prompting her decision to step away from wrestling following consultations with medical professionals and loved ones.

In her heartfelt post, Surreal expressed gratitude to her supporters and reflected on her wrestling journey, acknowledging that every match has been a dream fulfilled for her. Despite achieving more than she had ever imagined, the necessity to prioritize her health and well-being led her to the difficult choice of pausing her career indefinitely.

The uncertainty of whether Surreal will return to the ring remains, with her recent injury history emphasizing the importance of heeding medical advice and taking necessary precautions before considering a comeback.

Surreal’s final wrestling match took place on May 26, 2024, in a Six-Way competition for the “Element of Surprise” trophy, ultimately won by Mr. Grim. Alongside Surreal in the match were A-Game, Cosmic, Darius Carter, and MaidKira. Trained by Orange Cassidy and Drew Gulak, Surreal’s decision to step back from wrestling has elicited well-wishes from the Wrestling community. As fans speculate about the future of Edith Surreal’s wrestling career, her dedication to her health and safety stands as a reminder of the physical risks inherent in professional wrestling.
