A new WWE Speed Champion will be crowned next week as announced by Triple H and the company in a Speed Tournament exclusive to X. Initially, eight stars were set for the tournament: Ricochet, Dragon Lee, JD McDonagh, Axiom, Bronson Reed, Johnny Gargano, Angel, and Cedric Alexander. Ricochet, McDonagh, Reed, and Gargano have made it to the semi-finals.
Ricochet advanced to the finals by defeating McDonagh, while Gargano won against Reed with a Crucifix pin. The upcoming match between Gargano and Ricochet will determine the inaugural WWE Speed Champion. The tapings for the matches have concluded, but it’s uncertain where the title will be featured post-tournament.

In a spoiler, Ricochet emerged as the new WWE Speed Champion after defeating Gargano in a significant match post-SmackDown during the Draft episode. The design of the title has been revamped, showcasing the company’s effort to introduce more variation in its titles. With this new addition, the total number of titles in the company now stands at 16, encompassing all titles across NXT.
