Kayla Braxton, a popular WWE star and backstage interviewer, has announced that she will be leaving the company soon. Braxton has been with WWE since 2016 and has had many memorable moments, including her banter with Paul Heyman, which she cherishes. In her Instagram story, she shared a clip of one of their humorous interactions, writing “Awww we’re all gonna miss this.” The announcement comes as The Bloodline, a faction she has worked closely with, has undergone several changes, including the departure of Jimmy Uso and the addition of new members like Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.
As Roman Reigns, the leader of The Bloodline, has been absent from WWE programming since WrestleMania XL, the faction has been evolving, with Solo Sikoa taking on a more prominent role. Some, like Vince Russo, a former WWE writer, have praised Sikoa’s performance, but still see Roman Reigns as a superior leader.
On the latest Wrestling’s Legion of RAW show, Russo praised Solo Sikoa, saying he has really stepped up on SmackDown, but compared him unfavorably to Roman Reigns, saying that Roman comes off as a “movie star” and a “superhero,” whereas Sikoa does not give off the same vibe.
The Bloodline has been targeting Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes again on SmackDown, and it remains to be seen when Roman Reigns will make his return to WWE television. With Kayla Braxton’s departure imminent, fans will surely miss her banter with Paul Heyman and her work behind the scenes.
