PM Modi is expected to visit Russia, possibly in early July, for the annual India-Russia Summit. This would be his first visit to Russia since September 2019. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that dates will be announced later.
The visit follows an open invitation extended to Modi by President Vladimir Putin in March.
Russian media reported that active preparations were underway for Modi’s visit to Russia.
“I can confirm that we are preparing a visit by the Prime Minister of India,” Kremlin official Yuri Ushakov said, according to RIA Novosti news agency.

This will be Modi’s first visit to Russia since 2019. Dates for the visit are yet to be announced by the Kremlin.
