Maryse recently reacted to Jade Cargill’s social media post after her match at the Clash at the Castle 2024 Premium Live Event in Glasgow, Scotland. Cargill was in action alongside Bianca Belair, defending their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship in a Triple Threat Tag Team Match against Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn and Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark. Unfortunately for Cargill and Belair, Dawn and Fyre, collectively known as The Unholy Union, emerged victorious and took the titles away from the reigning champions.
Following the match, Cargill took to Instagram to share photos from her trip to Scotland and captioned her post with a three-word message. Maryse, who appears to be a fan of Cargill’s work, liked the post and responded with a smiling face with heart-eyes emoji. The reaction was likely a testament to Cargill’s skill and entertainment value as a wrestler.
Earlier this year, Jade Cargill made her in-ring WWE debut at the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble Match. She then went on to team up with Bianca Belair and Naomi for a six-woman tag team match against Damage CTRL at WrestleMania XL. While speaking to Cultaholic in a recent interview, Belair addressed the idea of a dream match against Cargill. She claimed that it was only a matter of time before the tag team partners crossed paths in a match, and that when they do, it will be huge.
Belair and Cargill had previously teamed up to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at Backlash France, dethroning Asuka and Kairi Sane. They successfully defended the titles against Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae and Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark. Since signing with WWE, Cargill has lost twice, once in a singles competition and once in a tag team competition. Her first singles loss came at the hands of Nia Jax via DQ in the 2024 Queen of the Ring tournament.
