Seth Rollins made his much-anticipated return to Monday Night RAW, following his defeat at WrestleMania 40. Rollins’ appearance was met with a rousing reception from the crowd in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was confronted by Damian Priest, the new World Heavyweight Champion, during his first segment back.
Rollins initially expressed his intention to compete in the Money in the Bank ladder match, but Priest had other plans. The Archer of Infamy granted Rollins a championship match at the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view event, much to Rollins’ surprise.
Damian Priest stated that he wanted to cash in on Rollins, not Drew McIntyre, who had previously defeated Rollins for the championship. However, Priest decided to grant Rollins a shot at the championship anyway, emphasizing that it is no longer Monday Night Rollins.
Rollins was initially skeptical, even expecting a Judgment Day blindside attack, but Priest assured him that it was not going to happen. Priest went on to say that he wanted to cash in on Rollins out of respect, not because of his loss to McIntyre.
Damian Priest has exceeded all expectations as World Heavyweight Champion, and it will be intriguing to see what happens in the coming weeks leading up to the pay-per-view event. The match between Rollins and Priest is sure to be a highlight of Money in the Bank.
