WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin recently made headlines for two separate incidents. First, she was seen apologizing to WWE fans after the Clash at the Castle Scotland event, which took place in Glasgow. The capacity crowd booed Irvin after Drew McIntyre lost in the main event bout. Following the match, Irvin thanked the crowd for two amazing nights, but the fans expressed their displeasure with the result, leading to unpleasant chants and boos from the Scottish crowd. A video of Irvin apologizing to the fans as she headed to the back after the show went off the air has been circulating on the internet.
In a separate incident, Irvin faced backlash on Instagram after posting a photo with Ricochet, who had been brutally attacked by Bron Breakker on RAW and had to be taken to a nearby medical facility in an ambulance. Irvin, who accompanied Ricochet to the hospital, posted a teary-eyed photo with The One and Only. However, some fans reacted negatively to the post, claiming that Ricochet looked fine.
An irate Irvin responded in an Instagram story, stating, “That picture is seven months old, so you guys are crazy, like seriously. Not all of you, but obviously the ones in the comments that are like ‘he looks fine to me’. That’s insane that you don’t have pictures with your loved ones on your camera roll that you can post in a time of need, when they could use a boost of support. You should start taking pictures with your loved ones.”
Meanwhile, there is speculation that Ricochet may join All Elite Wrestling once his WWE contract expires, as it has been reported that he has decided against renewing his deal with the Stamford-based promotion.
