In a recent interview, Drew McIntyre shared his thoughts on what went through his mind when CM Punk referenced former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon during a segment on RAW. McIntyre refrained from responding to Punk’s comment, as he didn’t think it would be a good idea. According to McIntyre, he had to make a decision quickly about whether to respond, and he ultimately decided to hold his tongue for the sake of the company and the roster.
McIntyre revealed that he had some things in mind that could have “melted the internet” but potentially hurt the company in other ways.
Apart from this, McIntyre also talked about his biggest regret in WWE. At Clash at the Castle in 2022, The Scottish Warrior lost to Roman Reigns and failed to capture the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. After the match, he and Tyson Fury sang American Pie in the ring. McIntyre told Metro that he regrets doing the duet and that he felt disgusted doing it.
Despite his regret, McIntyre remains a formidable force in WWE. Fans are eagerly waiting to see if he will walk out of Clash at the Castle in his home country of Scotland as the new World Heavyweight Champion.
