Triple H and Shawn Michaels have recently brought an entertaining partnership for WWE fans, while Cody Rhodes, the Undisputed WWE Champion, announced a 25-man battle royal to determine his next challenger on the latest edition of WWE NXT. The new opportunity has caught the attention of wrestling veterans Bully Ray and Tommy Dreamer, who believe that WWE should consider involving other locker rooms, including TNA Wrestling, to juice out the new opportunity.
Bully Ray, on Busted Open Radio, explained that ‘RAW’ and ‘SmackDown’ are other locker rooms and that TNA Wrestling is another locker room. Bully suggested that TNA stars could play a role in the action, especially after TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace’s impressive performance at the recent NXT Battleground Premium Live Event. Dreamer agreed, noting that it would be stupid for WWE not to capitalize on the TNA partnership. He added that Joe Hendry could also make his presence known to earn a huge pop, similar to Jordynne Grace’s Royal Rumble appearance earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Cody Rhodes, the company’s poster boy for the past few years, could lose his Undisputed WWE Championship soon. AJ Styles recently attacked Rhodes, causing him to agree to fight Styles in an “I Quit!” match at the upcoming Clash at the Castle PLE. Fans could see The Phenomenal One dig deep into his heel character and attack Cody’s wife Brandi Rhodes during the match, forcing The American Nightmare to say ‘I Quit’ to take home the title.
With the recent partnership between WWE and TNA and Cody Rhodes’ upcoming championship match, the wrestling world waits to see if WWE will capitalize on the new opportunity and involve TNA stars in the action.
