Booker T Praises Young WWE Superstar for Transition from MMA to Wrestling

Booker T recently commended Lola Vice, a 25-year-old NXT star who made the switch from Mixed Martial Arts to professional wrestling. In a discussion on their Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T and Brad Gilmore lauded Vice’s progress within the NXT women’s division, highlighting her commitment and talent in the ring. Booker T expressed his admiration for Vice’s dedication and praised her as a standout performer, emphasizing her in-ring intelligence and entertainment value.

Before joining WWE, Lola Vice had a successful MMA career, debuting at Bellator at the age of 19 and accumulating a record of 4-1 with notable victories. Transitioning to wrestling in 2022, Vice trained at the WWE Performance Center and quickly rose through the ranks. She clinched victory in the 2023 NXT Women’s Breakout Tournament, securing a future opportunity at the NXT Women’s Championship, showcasing her versatility and determination.

Despite falling short in her championship bid against Lyra Valkyria, Lola Vice remains a prominent figure in NXT, with Booker T recognizing her potential for greatness. Currently embroiled in a feud with Shayna Baszler, another MMA convert to wrestling, Lola Vice is set to face Baszler in an NXT Underground Match at NXT Battleground. The clash between these two skilled athletes with MMA backgrounds adds an intriguing dynamic to their storyline, showcasing the evolution of performers transitioning between sports and excelling in professional wrestling.
