A new WWE Speed Champion will be crowned next week as announced by Triple H and the company in a Speed Tournament exclusive to X. Initially, eight stars were set for the tournament: Ricochet, Dragon Lee, JD McDonagh, Axiom, Bronson Reed, Johnny Gargano, Angel, and Cedric Alexander. Ricochet, McDonagh, Reed, and Gargano have made it to the semi-finals.
Ricochet advanced to the finals by defeating McDonagh, while Gargano won against Reed with a Crucifix pin.
