Randy Orton, a long-standing figure in WWE, saw his impressive 788-day run abruptly conclude at a live event in Bologna, Italy. Since his return from injury at Survivor Series last year, Orton has been entangled in a heated rivalry with The Bloodline. Following a brief stint with Logan Paul leading to WrestleMania, Orton resurfaced on SmackDown to assist Kevin Owens against Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga.

At the recent live event, the 14-time world champion, alongside LA Knight, faced the villainous duo in a match that marked Tonga’s debut in the ring. Despite their efforts, Orton and Knight fell short, marking Orton’s first loss in over two years at a live show since March 5, 2022. Post-match, Solo Sikoa and Tam Tonga continued their assault on Knight until Orton intervened with his signature move, the RKO, followed by Knight delivering a finishing blow to Solo.

Looking ahead, Randy Orton is scheduled to compete at WWE Backlash, where his ongoing feud with The Bloodline will reach its climax. Teaming up with Kevin Owens, Orton will confront Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga once again. The relentless targeting of Owens by Solo and Tonga has set the stage for a high-stakes showdown at Backlash. Notably, Orton and Owens crossed paths at WrestleMania 40, albeit as adversaries in a triple-threat match for the United States Championship, ultimately retained by Logan Paul in a thrilling encounter.

Orton’s recent setback in Bologna marks a significant turn in his storied career, leading to an escalating rivalry with The Bloodline culminating in what promises to be a fiery showdown at WWE Backlash.
