WWE Superstar Becky Lynch recently opened up about her match against Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35. The match, which had a controversial finish, saw Becky Lynch, known as The Man, pinning Ronda Rousey, The Baddest Woman on the Planet, despite her shoulders not being fully down on the mat. This bout made history as the first women’s match to headline WrestleMania, marking a significant moment in WWE history.

The match, which took place as the main event of the show, concluded with Becky Lynch walking away as both the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Champion. Interestingly, this match also marked the end of Ronda Rousey’s first run in WWE, as she later took a lengthy hiatus from the wrestling scene. In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Becky Lynch addressed the controversial finish, mentioning that she was caught up in the moment and wasn’t fully aware of what had transpired during the match.

Reflecting on the finish, Becky Lynch shared that she was unsure if Ronda Rousey’s actions were intentional or accidental. She speculated on the possibility of Rousey using it as a setup for a potential rematch or if it was simply a mistake in the heat of the match. Lynch also revealed an interesting behind-the-scenes tidbit about the match planning, mentioning that Rousey altered the finish. This change was reportedly influenced by Rousey’s reluctance to appear as if she was about to tap out due to personal reasons involving her mother’s disapproval.

Despite the altered finish and the controversy surrounding it, Becky Lynch expressed understanding and respect for Ronda Rousey’s decision. The two wrestling stars never had the opportunity to face each other one-on-one in WWE, and with Rousey’s departure from the company, the chances of that dream match happening seem slim. This revelation adds a new layer of complexity to the WrestleMania 35 match, shedding light on the behind-the-scenes dynamics that often influence the outcomes in professional wrestling.
