Harry Kane has shared his thoughts on the upcoming Champions League semi-final clash against Real Madrid, following Bayern Munich’s victory over Arsenal, which dashed the Gunners’ European dreams.
The Bundesliga giants secured a spot in the last four after a gripping 3-2 aggregate win over Arsenal in the quarter-finals.
Kane, formerly of Tottenham, faced familiar north London rivals in an exhilarating encounter, ultimately decided by Joshua Kimmich’s decisive goal in the second leg at the Allianz Arena.
Expressing his anticipation for the challenge ahead, Kane, who netted from the penalty spot in the first leg, boasts an impressive tally of 39 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions this season.
Speaking to Sky Deutschland, he acknowledged the formidable history of Real Madrid in the Champions League, emphasizing the tough task that lies ahead in the semi-finals.
He stated, “Real Madrid is of course a big club with an impressive history in the Champions League.
It will be a difficult semi-final for us, but that’s what the semi-finals of the Champions League are about: playing against the biggest clubs. We will now enjoy this victory and then prepare for the games.”
Additionally, Kane took to social media to celebrate Bayern’s triumph over Arsenal, praising their ability to “find a way” to victory.
