Mark Bartelstein, agent to veteran forward Taj Gibson, has confirmed to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that Gibson will be finalizing a contract with the Detroit Pistons for the remainder of the season.
At 38 years old, Gibson is set to officially sign the deal on Saturday.
This move comes after his recent stint with the Pistons on a 10-day contract following his release from the New York Knicks earlier in January.
Having embarked on his 15th NBA season, Gibson, originally drafted by the Chicago Bulls in 2009, brings a wealth of experience to the Pistons.
Throughout his career, he has also suited up for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, and Washington Wizards, showcasing his versatility and adaptability on the court.
With career averages of 8.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, Gibson’s presence is expected to bolster the Pistons’ roster as they go through the remainder of the season.
