Forward Otto Porter Jr., who was waived by the Utah Jazz on Monday, has announced his retirement from the NBA after 11 seasons.

“For the past 11 years, I had the chance to live my lifelong dream of playing in the NBA,” said Porter, who won a title in 2022 with the Golden State Warriors.

“That dream was capped by winning an NBA championship! Unfortunately, my body is not allowing me to play at the level that I expect of myself, and I have therefore decided to retire.”

Porter, 30, never played for the Jazz after he averaged 2.6 points with 1.9 rebounds in 15 games for the Toronto Raptors this season.

He was included in the February 8 trade, along with Kira Lewis Jr. and a first-round draft pick, that sent Kelly Olynyk and Ochai Agbaji to the Raptors.

The third pick of the 2013 NBA draft also played for the Washington Wizards, Chicago Bulls, and Orlando Magic over his career, averaging 10.3 points with 4.9 rebounds in 527 games (319 starts).
