Cristiano Ronaldo has confidently stated that Al-Nassr will emerge victorious against Al Ain and will “advance to the semi-finals” of the AFC Champions League.
The Saudi Pro League team finds themselves behind in their quarter-final match against rivals from the UAE, having suffered a 1-0 loss in the first leg of this high-stakes encounter.
They are poised for a chance to reverse this setback as they return to their home ground in Riyadh on Monday.
Expressing confidence in Al-Nassr’s prospects, Ronaldo conveyed to journalists during a pre-match press briefing:
“We are ready, we are prepared, and we believe that we will have a very good night.
I have the opportunity now to say to all the fans in the stadium ‘be with us, be positive’ because we players, we are very positive that we are going to change the first game and we are going to pass to the semi-finals – this is what we believe.”
Ronaldo has also conveyed a message of determination on social media, emphasizing Al-Nassr’s readiness for a pivotal showdown that could propel them towards significant silverware in 2024 or shatter those aspirations.
At 39 years old, the evergreen Ronaldo continues to set an example and motivate those around him. His tally of 34 goals across all competitions this season underscores his enduring prowess, reflecting his accustomed success in hoisting trophies throughout his illustrious career.
