Former US President Donald Trump’s campaign has raised nearly $20 million over the past three weeks, coinciding with his indictment in multiple federal and state cases related to his claims that the 2020 election was stolen. According to Trump’s campaign spokesman, Steven Cheung, the former president brought in $7.1 million since appearing in court on Thursday, where he was shown with a red tie, glistening hair, and an icy scowl. The mug shot has become a sensation, with various merchandise being created by friends and foes alike, including T-shirts, shot glasses, mugs, posters, and bobblehead dolls.

Trump is currently facing four indictments, including two related to his false claims of election fraud and the January 6th, 2021, attack on the US Capitol. He has denied all charges. On August 15th, he was indicted by a Georgia grand jury for his efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss to Joe Biden in the state.

On August 3rd, he pleaded not guilty to charges brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith in federal court, alleging that he conspired to defraud the United States by preventing Congress from certifying Biden’s election victory and to deprive voters of their right to a fair election. Trump has also pleaded not guilty to charges of unlawfully keeping classified documents after leaving office and falsifying business records in a case related to the payment of hush money to porn star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election.

The former president’s campaign reported that on Friday alone, he brought in $4.18 million, making it the highest-grossing day of his campaign so far. This surge in fundraising comes as Trump is again seeking the Republican Party’s nomination for president after being elected in 2016 but defeated by Democrat Joe Biden in 2020. Throughout his campaign, Trump has maintained his innocence and denied all charges, stating that the 2020 election was stolen.
