Beloved Actress Betty White Passes Away Following Christmas Day Stroke

Betty White, the 99-year-old American actress, died on December 31 at her home in the Brentwood section of Los Angeles, six days after suffering a stroke on Christmas Day. According to her death certificate, the stroke was listed as the primary cause of death. The document was obtained by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health.

White’s remains were cremated, and she was laid to rest with a special ceremony, as per her advanced healthcare directive. The document listed her full name as Betty Marion Ludden, a reference to her marriage to Allen Ludden, whom she wed in 1963 and remained with until his death in 1981. Her agent and friend, Jeff Witjas, first confirmed her death to the Associated Press, revealing that she had been staying close to her Los Angeles home during the pandemic.
