For those of you who don’t know, Wagner Moua played Pablo Escobar in Narcos Season 1 and Season 2. Narcos: Mexico is produced by Gaumont for the streaming giant Netflix. Here’s all you need to know about the series thus far. Keep reading to know the important details.
Narcos: Mexico Season 3: Renewal
Netflix recently gave the green light to the third season of the world-famous narcotics and drug-trafficking drama series, namely Narcos: Mexico. The series will return after some time, not any time in the foreseeable future, but when that happens, fans will miss series lead Diego Luna. It is therefore quite obvious that there shall be a new lead in the show. The actor, Diego, played drug cartel leader Félix Gallardo in the previous seasons.
Narcos: Mexico Season 3: Plot
Season 2 of Narcos: Mexico ended with Deigo Luna’s Félix Gallardo getting sentenced to prison for all the crimes he committed but most of all drug trafficking crimes. It was quite obvious; therefore, Deigo wouldn’t be a part of the next season, which is exactly what happened. Now that the series is renewed for a third season, co-creator Carlo Bernard will take over everything about it and will take in charge of Eric Newman. He will be responsible for the day-to-day show-running duties. It is interesting to note that Eric Newman is going to be stepping back after five seasons. Eric will, however, be working in that background. In that, he will be the executive producer of the series with Bernard, Jose Padilha, Sidonie Dumas, Christophe Riandee, Nicolas Atlan, Doug Miro, and Andrés Baiz.
Season 3 of the show is set in the 90s, during the era of globalization and, of course, the worldwide selling on drug business. Not just limited to Latin America or North America. This will be the main plot of the series. As this happens, Season 3 will look into the breakout of the war after Felix’s empire collapses.
The newly independent drug cartels will find it difficult to struggle with a new climate, but eventually, most of them will be operating in the game. Moreover, it is the ’90s. Therefore a new generation of Mexican kingpins will be seen leading the show. There is, of course, going to be violence, bloodshed, murders on both sides.
The cast for Season 3 of Narcos: Mexico includes Scoot McNairy, José Maria Yazpik, Alberto Ammann, Alfonso Dosal, Mayra Hermosillo, Matt Letscher, Manuel Masalva, Alejandro Edda, and Gorka Lasaosa. These were seen in the previous seasons as well. As we mentioned earlier and Wagner Moura, Andrés Baiz, Alejandra Marquez, Luis Ortega, Amat Escalante will also direct episodes of Season 3, Narcos: Mexico.
Here’s the brief teaser for Season 3,
We do not have a release date in mind as of now. It is going to be another couple of months since Narcos will grace our screens again. Meanwhile, you can watch Season 2, which premiered in February, on Netflix any time you wish to.
